I wouldn't normally ask...

I normally wouldn't come here to ask this, but I have a need of your prayers. I have really been praying lately that God would show me the career path He would have me choose and until last evening, I thought that would lead me towards nursing or something similar. Well yesterday, I sat reading 2 Chronicles 7:14, " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." and I started praying that the verse would become my prayer for our country. I then prayed that I would always remember to follow not after my own heart, but after God's heart and almost immediately I heard the word, "minister". I was a little like...um excuse me...huh?! Um...what exactly does that mean and are you sure that you don't want the fellow down the street?? " Minister???" Really?? Do you not remember who I am?? I have to confess that as a career for me, a minister of any kind has been the furthest thing from my mind. But all that aside, what I am asking for is that you pray that God will not only make it abundantly clear to me exactly what He means by "minister", but also that He will prepare me for anything and give me an open, obedient heart! I thank-you ahead of time and will definitely keep you posted!

May your vocation be made abundantly clear to you, with nice signposts along the way.

Minister....i think i would be a little shocked if the Lord pointed me in that direction....of course there are all kinds of ministers.....maybe he means for you to be a nurse and minister to the children or elderly.....I'll say a little pray.....

Just listen to the hints. Ministers do lots other than preach from a pulpit. My little lambs are a high school cross country team. They keep my motor running and my heart young.

At mass yesterday, I head a very interesting sermon and I totally was thinking about you. My priest said- "Don't do something, wait." I think you need to wait, and listen to what God is calling for you to do. I have always been the opposite and have heard, don't just wait, do something!! I am saying a prayer for you, and am hoping that you are able to be patient enough to hear what God's true calling for you is.
God Bless, and have a joyous Memorial Day

Hugs... Dani
